Ireland’s National Artificial Intelligence Literacy Initiative for Older Adults
Welcome to
Age-Friendly AI
What is AI?
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is when technology is designed to do tasks that usually need human thinking, like finding patterns in huge amounts of information – it is used on your phone, for example in predictive texting or in online shopping for making suggestions.
Everyone deserves to understand and participate in the digital world. Age-Friendly AI is a national initiative, led by TU Dublin and the ADAPT Centre and supported by Age focused organisations.
Age-Friendly AI is dedicated to making Artificial Intelligence accessible and relevant for older adults across Ireland. We’re not just providing training about AI; we’re listening to your voices and ensuring your experiences shape how future AI is developed and used.
Age-Friendly AI is part of the ADAPT Centre’s #DiscussAI programme. We’ve already engaged 80,000 people across Ireland in learning and discussions around AI in our lives, and now we want to ensure that the voices of older adults are at the forefront of the conversation about AI.
Discuss and explore Artificial Intelligence in a friendly and supportive way. Join us as we learn together and share our experiences of AI and ageing in Ireland.
