The Age-Friendly AI team visited the Senior Times 50 Plus Show in the RDS, Dublin, welcoming a huge turnout of attendees to the Age-Friendly AI Workshop: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.
At our dedicated stand, older adults shared their views on Artificial Intelligence (AI) with our friendly team and engaged with hands-on technology. Visitors explored our interactive AI demonstrations: “The Spirit of Radio” with an AI-twist, the “Art or AI?” exhibition and a voice-controlled lamp.
About our Age-Friendly AI Training Workshop
A core highlight of the event was the Age-Friendly AI Training Workshop: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, held on both Thursday and Friday, March 12th and 13th. The training programme was co-developed with and for older adults, drawing from a year-long dialogue where people shared their views and ideas on AI with us.
In the sessions, participants learned what AI is, its applications in daily life, such as predictive text and shopping recommendations, and what to look out for when using the technology.
Your Voice Matters: The FREEPOST AI Opinion Campaign
During the 50 Plus Show, we received a high number of completed postcards where people shared their hopes and concerns regarding AI, such as its application in healthcare and privacy concerns. These contributions are essential to the Age-Friendly AI project and help shape the future of the technology.
