The Age-Friendly AI initiative has been officially recognised in the Joint Committee on Artificial Intelligence First Interim Report, published in December 2025.
The report, which examines how Ireland should manage and use Artificial Intelligence, highlighted our work as a leading example of how to bring AI education to the public. The report notes:
“The Committee heard many examples of excellent work being done… such as ADAPT in partnership with TU Dublin providing a dedicated AI literacy campaign for older adults.”
For many, the world of AI can feel fast-moving and complex. At Age-Friendly AI, we have been working with older adults to develop training materials that will make AI easy to understand and will give older adults the skills and confidence to navigate an increasingly digitally driven world.
It is great to see Age-Friendly AI highlighted in this government report and we are looking forward to continuing this work in 2026.
