This nomination recognises our commitment to ensuring that older adults have a strong voice in the future AI and empowering them to navigate and critically engage with the AI-driven media landscape.
What the judges said: “This project is a well-designed, inclusive and innovative public engagement initiative, built on a strong foundation of co-creation where older adults are active contributors to the development of the programme.”

Supported by Coimisiún na Meán, the Media Literacy Ireland Awards celebrate initiatives that help citizens develop the skills, knowledge and competencies needed to make informed choices about the media content and services they consume, create and disseminate. This year saw a record number of nominations, reflecting the growing importance of media literacy across Irish communities.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Virgin Media Studios, Dublin on 6th October 2025.
This shortlisting is a testament to the dedication of our team, partners and most importantly, the older adults who have been at the heart of co-creating this initiative. We’re honoured to be recognised alongside other outstanding projects working to advance media literacy in Ireland.
