We are delighted to share that the Age-Friendly AI project was featured on a special AI episode of RTE Radio 1’s Reignite with Áine Kerr. Age-Friendly AI researcher Dr Dympna O’Sullivan, Academic Lead at the Digital Futures Research Hub at TU Dublin and Sheila Cullen from Sutton-Baldoyle U3A joined Áine to discuss the importance of making Artificial Intelligence accessible and relevant for older adults.
The episode, which aired on Saturday morning, 16 August, highlighted how our national initiative is working to ensure that the voices and experiences of older adults are at the forefront of the conversation about AI. As part of the Research Ireland ADAPT Centre’s #DiscussAI National Conversation on AI, the Age-Friendly AI project is dedicated to empowering older people to understand and engage with the digital world.
If you missed the show, you can listen back on the RTE Radio website or podcast app to hear the full conversation. Dr O’Sullivan shared insights into our work and our vision for a future where technology is developed with older adults, not just for them.
