Paula Kelly and Michael Core were guests on a recent episode of ADAPT Radio. In the episode, they highlighted a growing concern: as AI becomes embedded in the apps and services we use every day, those who don’t understand it risk being left behind.
Paula Kelly, a lecturer at TU Dublin and lead of the Age-Friendly AI initiative, explains it simply:
“AI literacy is really the difference between shaping the future and being shaped by it.”
Without a basic understanding of how these systems work, it can be harder to navigate new technologies, protect your privacy or spot online scams.
