Following a year of dialogue, where we visited different counties in Ireland and listened to the voices of older people sharing their thoughts and ideas on Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are now launching a nationwide Age-Friendly AI Training with a co-created training programme with and for older adults.
This training programme will be rolling out to public libraries across Ireland under the umbrella of the national Skills For Life programme. This Age-Friendly AI Training is designed to ensure that no one is left behind in the rapidly changing world of Artificial Intelligence.
What to Expect
The Age-Friendly AI Training will take place in local libraries and tie into related events, such as the 50 Plus Shows taking place around Ireland.
Age-Friendly AI is launching the first module of the training programme: Introduction to AI. No prior knowledge is needed to join our workshops – everyone is invited to join the discussion!
What will be covered?
In Module 1 “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence”, we will be looking at:
- What is AI? Together, we will explore what AI is and explain how it works.
- Where is AI being used? Find out where you are already using AI – you might be surprised!
- Benefits & risks of AI: You will learn about how AI can support your daily life and what to look out for when using it.
- Hands-on experience: Try out AI technology on the day.
