The Age-Friendly AI team is looking forward to holding an interactive training workshop at Skibbereen Library, Cork, on June 11.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life, from how we communicate through predictive text to healthcare services. The Age-Friendly AI training programme has been co-designed with and for older adults, based on a year-long series of conversations across Ireland in 2025.
No prior knowledge is required to join the event – everyone is welcome!
What to expect
During this session, participants will:
- Learn the basics of Artificial Intelligence
- Discover where AI is used in everyday life
- Explore both the benefits and potential risks of AI
- Ask questions in a friendly environment
This session is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. After the workshop, you will get the chance to try out interactive AI demonstrations with our Age-Friendly AI team:
- The Spirit of Radio: a vintage radio with an AI twist
- Art or AI?: Art or AI exhibition where you can guess if the image is AI-generated or created by an artist
