We are excited to announce the first workshop of the Age-Friendly AI Training Programme.

Throughout 2025, the project held discussion workshops across Ireland, listening to participant’s stories, hopes, and concerns about Artificial Intelligence. Taking on board what has been shared during these workshops, we have co-created an AI literacy training programme with and for older people. Our first Training Workshop will take place at the Moate Library.

What will we explore?

In this session, we will dive into Module 1: Introduction to AI. We’ll be looking at:

• What is AI? Together, we will demystify AI and explain how it works.
• Where is AI being used? With interactive activities, we will explore where you are already using AI.
• Benefits & risks of AI: You will learn about how AI can support your daily life and what to look out for when using it.
• Practical experience: You will get the opportunity to try out AI technology on the day!

No Pre-Knowledge Necessary!

This event is open to the public. No pre-existing knowledge is required to join the workshop – everyone is welcome!
